John Tapping
Chief Executive Officer and Chairman
John Tapping is the founder and serves as the CEO and Chairman. Mr. Tapping attended Western University where he studied business and holds a BA & Sc. from Quest University, Canada. As an entrepreneur, Mr. Tapping has been actively involved in finance, international trade, and technology since 2009. His uncompromising pursuit of excellence through innovation drives John’s ambition to utilize technology to improve the way in which businesses, people, and society generate value. In 2018, he founded Toolitrade.com, an online B2B marketplace. Mr. Tapping brings significant expertise, entrepreneurial passion, strategic vision and perspective to the company.

Renée Hetherington
Chief Financial Officer and Director
Dr. Hetherington obtained her BA in business and economics from Simon Fraser University, her MBA from the University of Western Ontario (Western) and her Interdisciplinary PhD in anthropology, biology, geology and geography from the University of Victoria. She has been an Adjunct Professor at the University of Victoria, School of Environmental Studies since 2017 and a geological and business consultant since 2006. She is co-founder and CFO of RIT Minerals (RITM) Corp, a geological consulting and exploration firm in British Columbia, Canada. She ran for office as a Member of Parliament in 2011. Renée is author of two books published by Cambridge University Press, along with numerous articles published in peer-reviewed scientific and literary journals. Renée’s experience in politics, finance, business, science, education and resource development brings a unique and valuable perspective.

Mallin Jiang
Chief Marketing Officer, Corporate Secretary, and Director
Mallin Jiang holds a Masters of Global Management with a specialization in Asia-Pacific Trade and Investment from Royal Roads University. During her 15-year career in international higher education, Mallin has served in a number of roles including: international business development, partnership management, marketing, public relations, and communications. She advises and facilitates international trade and investment opportunities for businesses and governments. She currently serves as a member of the executive committee of the Canadian International Council Victoria Branch, a non-partisan think-tank with the express mandate to engage Canadians on international affairs. Mallin brings a dynamic international perspective to TooliTech, delivering investor networks, supply chain opportunities, and strong community relations experience.

Cameron provides business-forward legal advice, with a particular emphasis on M&A, corporate finance, private equity, venture capital, and complex corporate reorganizations.
Cameron received his ICD.D designation from the Institute of Corporate Directors in 2022, the only professional designation for Canadian directors recognized both nationally and internationally.

Thomas Hawker
Corporate Advisor
Tom brings a wealth of accounting knowledge and experience to Toolitech, supporting strong value creation and providing foresight in guiding Toolitech through day-to-day challenges.
Tom Hawker completed his economics degree at the University of Victoria, obtained his CA designation in 1983, and had been a partner with Field & Company since 1990 until his retirement in 2017 and worked with family-owned businesses and entrepreneurs. He has consulted with a wide range of corporate entities on their financial needs and strategic objectives for the past 40 years and continues in that capacity today. Many of these corporations have grown to be leaders in their industries in Western Canada.
In addition, he is a Director and Treasurer with Rowing Canada Aviron a National Sport Organization. He also gives his time to a number of community organizations and has been a long-serving member of the Camosun College Foundation Board of Directors.
He is an avid rower and sailor and has gone on to compete in local and international regattas in both sports.

Wesley brings a wealth of insurance and risk management knowledge, specifically in cyber, crime, and environmental risk, helping TooliTech Inc. manage risk and navigate day-to-day challenges.
With a keen interest in understanding emerging risks, Wesley has specialized in assisting technology companies and those specifically engaged in cryptocurrency mining and exchange opportunities. Wesley has devoted a great deal of time to understanding Cyber, Crime, and Environmental risk as well as the various risk management options available to clients to address these continually evolving exposures. With multiple years of experience handling the unique risks that this industry faces, Wesley has assisted Iridium to differentiate themselves as industry leaders in the space.
In addition, Wesley volunteers as a member of the Advisory Board for Calgary based student group Fuse Collective, whose purpose is to foster the next generation of leaders and pioneers through industry connections and experiential learning opportunities.
